Commissioned Watercolour Paintings

Andrew regularly takes on commissions and, as long as it doesn’t involve a lot of travelling, he doesn’t charge any more than his usual prices for original watercolours.

A popular subject is of people’s children playing on the beach, building sand castles, rockpooling etc. and Andrew can work from photographs taken by you as long as they are taken on a sunny day with enough detail in the shots. Andrew can change the background from a holiday abroad to a beach in Pembrokeshire from old photos. People have even posed the children on their back lawn pretending to build with sand!

Favourite views are another popular subject for commission - just supply good photographs. If you’re happy with the images Andrew can produce a watercolour from it. Good clear photos are also needed for pet portraits.

If the subject is in Pembrokeshire Andrew may want to view a scene and sketch it first.

To confirm a commission Andrew does need a deposit of £50.00 to book your place on the list. Please ring the gallery to discuss the painting and deadline as different times of the year are busier than others and much more notice may be needed. Three to four weeks notice is normally a minimum time frame.
